Join us for an exciting week-long camp where you’ll learn the fundamentals of 3D animation and character creation using the powerful Blender™ software.

Our expert instructors will guide you through hands-on projects, teaching you essential animation techniques like rigging, skinning, and keyframing. You’ll also explore the world of character design, modeling, and texturing.

Throughout the camp, you’ll have the opportunity to create your own animated short films or scenes. By the end of the camp, you’ll have a portfolio of your own animated creations and a solid understanding of the principles of 3D animation. This camp is perfect for students interested in animation, filmmaking, or game development.

No prior programming experience is required, but previous background in Scratch™ or another programming language and a basic understanding of Algebra is encouraged.

Valuable Learning Opportunities include utilizing loops, functions, objects, and conditionals; printing text onto the computer screen; receiving input from the user; and working with graphics. Campers also learn core principles of programming including memory management and object-oriented programming concepts.

Tech Stocks, Trading Simulations & Competitions: Learn how to analyze a company’s financials, study historical performance, and calculate P/E ratios, earnings per share, dividends, and valuations. Use $100,000 of “play money” to buy/sell stock throughout the week, with the goal of selling to lock in a profit on Friday. Also, learn about strategies for holding longer term investments, explore the historical performance of tech stocks over time (including bubbles), and collaborate with fellow campers to envision the future.

Big Data – Analytics & Challenges: Tech companies thrive on the collection of data to help them make better decisions and optimize the experiences of their users. What kind of innovations are utilized in this space and what are some of the successes and implications of these practices? At camp, learn how to work with sample data from case studies and compete in fun and exciting analytics challenges.

Team Project – Problem Solvers: Many tech companies have become household names by solving problems and making everyday life more efficient. Amazon connects buyers and sellers while delivering products to your door quickly and cheaply, Uber® connects drivers and passengers, and Tesla® creates electric cars that are not dependent on oil and better for the environment. At camp, we challenge you to work in a team to identify a problem in the world that you would like to solve, create a solution using a technology or technologies of choice, and create a roadmap for launch, innovation and growth!
